Happy Mother's Day

I hope all the moms (and moms-to-be) are having a wonderful day.  Two more weeks!  The most important thing to remember is to be super vigilant with supervision and keep everyone busy.  Don't let students know when grades are due and tell them everything counts!

Monday's faculty meeting is grading Mustang Writes.  Please get together in groups or in Heather's room and help get this done.

Mass is on Thursday this week in honor of our 8th graders.  Following the brunch at approximately 11 am, we will have the clap out.  I will bring the students from the FLC to the front door of the school and they will walk down the hall from the front door to the breezeway and back to the FLC to head home.  We will send 7th-grade runners to the classrooms when we are ready.  Everyone lines up along the hallway and 6th grade comes out into the breezeway.  The 7th grade can line up along the PK fence.

Have a fabulous week!

Almost There

and we are almost there for a number of things.  We are almost at our last lesson, the last test, the last grade.  We are almost at graduation.  We are almost at the end of planning, grading, packing, etc.  And, we are almost at the end of CIPA.  I am thankful for all the hard work the committees have put into completing the ARCA and reports.  My plan was to review Action Plans with the Steering Committee Monday after school, however, some of the Domain Reports are incomplete.  It was not an option to use the survey results, the option was which survey we used.  I will resend the Survey results to the domain chairs so that they can be reviewed.  Therefore, here is the plan for Monday's faculty meeting.

Domain A - This report is complete, but I need to meet with Maria to discuss some edits and one question.  The others in this Domain (Melissa, Connor, George, and also Kate) can help David in the media center with the NJHS applications.

Domain B - Galy, Mari, Anthony, Darien, and Claudia need to meet to complete the section on survey results.

Domain C - Lisa, Amanda, Marianne, Laura, and Denet (David can do NJHS) need to meet to complete the section on survey results.

Domain D - Great job!  Susana and Yesenia and also Heather can help David with NJHS.

EEP - Well done!  Please help David with NJHS review.

I will find another time to meet with the Steering Committee to review the Action Plans.

Other things happening this week:

  • Cereal Drive - please be sure to talk about this on the morning show
  • Marvelous Mustang on Friday
  • Spring concert practice on Thursday at 8 am in the FLC
  • Spring concert Friday night at 6:30 pm
For the concert practice on Thursday, 8th grade will need to be picked up at the end of first period from the FLC.  They have music and Denet cannot leave to bring them back.  Denet and Maria, you may need to move 3rd grade music to later in the day.  I imagine practice will take the first two periods at least.  If your class is performing, please plan to be at the concert Friday night to help with supervision.

Thank you all and have a great almost there week!

School's Out For Summer!

These will be the words I will be singing down the hall on Friday.  While it's been a great school year in many ways, I will not be sad...
